Why Electronic Filing Is Recommended

The IRS strongly recommends electronic filing (e-file) for taxpayers in all income brackets. E-filing:

  • Automatically applies the correct tax brackets

  • Calculates capital gains rates accurately

Reduces errors that can trigger IRS reviews

  • Speeds up refunds, especially with direct deposit

  • Allows easy tracking through Where’s My Refund?

Most tax software is updated annually to reflect the latest bracket thresholds and inflation adjustments, ensuring accurate calculations.
